The beautiful formal gardens and rose-lined courtyard are a distinctive feature of the property and provide an elegant and private environment for your Waiheke Island wedding. The uninterrupted 360-degree sea and vineyard views will make your day an unforgettable one.

The Estate was architecturally designed and purpose-built in 2005 as a luxury accommodation and specialist wedding venue. We host weddings from 10 to 180 guests and have received rave reviews for the quality of our hospitality and attention to detail. The Estate hosted its first large wedding in March 2005 and since then we have hosted several hundred weddings, all of them customised to suit the particular requirements, tastes and budgets of individual couples.

A wedding is one of the most important events you will ever organise. Your choice of wedding venue makes a statement about how you view yourselves as a couple and your confidence in your future together. Every minor detail will contribute to the overall success of the occasion and will be appreciated not only by you but by all your friends and family on the day. We want to make this the most memorable day of your life by adding the special touches you desire. We have sourced and shipped a horse and carriage to keep one bride happy and sought out and imported a specific brand of Canadian whisky to please a Canadian groom, along with Roman columns, chandeliers and table centrepieces.

Your goal is our goal - a fabulous experience. A memorable day where everything goes without a hitch. We’ll listen to you describe your dream wedding day and we’ll do our utmost to make it happen. We’ll discuss the options available to accommodate your personal preferences and budget. The Estate and its four hectare grounds are presented in immaculate condition. We provide a professional kitchen, photo shoot facilitation, power to a marquee, and management of all logistics and suppliers.

Yes, we can manage the whole process for you - everything from chefs, marquees and flowers, decorations, hair and make-up, to celebrants, accommodation, photography, transportation, cakes, entertainment and musicians, catering - we can offer it all! We have sourced and vetted a team of suppliers who have worked with us over the years and who meet the highest standards. 

We know our food and wine and can advise you on your selections. We have access to over 7000 different wines. We have eight top-quality chefs on call to us, three of them locally based. They prepare superb dishes to the cuisine style of your choice, using only the finest produce and freshest ingredients.

Photography
The Estate provides limitless opportunities for photography of the ceremony and bridal party.  Its surroundings include native bush, olive groves, vineyards, cityscapes, 360-degree sea views, formal gardens and rose-lined courtyard. We can recommend and book a wedding photographer to suit your personal style and budget.

Additional options
Bridal parties have taken advantage of all or part of the following options at The Estate:

  • Prior wedding day accommodation for the bridal party, with hairdressers and others attending on site on the big day, eliminating the stress of travel for the bride
  • Luxury accommodation for family and friends in our four super king suites
  • Wedding ceremony on various sites at the Estate, all with magnificent sea views
  • Pre and post ceremony champagne and canapés in our romantic, sheltered rose lined courtyard
  • Wedding reception in our courtyard, or in a marquee, both with sea views

Extend the experience
The Estate is also an ideal venue for your honeymoon or the wedding party. The Estate and grounds can be reserved for your exclusive use.

  • Next day brunch/BBQ in our courtyard or on the front lawn overlooking the Hauraki Gulf with Auckland City on the horizon
  • Honeymoon accommodation
  • Although we limit our house guests overnight to eight, to ensure quality and privacy, other comparable accommodation for up to 90 guests is available within three minutes of The Estate. We can arrange this for you

Welcome to our sanctuary
Your hosts Julian and Helen Nalepa use the experience they gained in their former senior corporate roles in New Zealand and offshore and the confidence they have gained from facilitating hundreds of weddings to your advantage in the management of top-of-the-line professionals such as chefs, bands, photographers, etc. Our international experience and resourcefulness has also given us the ability to empathise closely with overseas-based couples and to understand their remote event management and communication needs.
